Coltness Boys Club was formed in August 2008 under the tutelage and including two of the original and current committee stalwarts, Joe Richardson and Grahame Kerr. The majority of the players had played the previous season (2007/2008) with Netherton Amber. An application to the Lanarkshire Youth Football Association was made and was accepted in August 2008. Overall,  the first season was viewed as a complete success in that the club remained a viable entity and at the start of the 2009 season Coltness B.C. were further strengthened when they gained the services of several local players after Newmains Hammers folded.  The Colts then also decided to compete and play in the highly competitive Cumbernauld & Kilsyth District Football League in order to improve their game and they continue to play in this league. After two highly commendable and successful seasons in 2009 and 2010, the Committee accepted the offer to be integrated into under the community football family of Wishaw Juniors and we look forward to the seasons ahead.
